DOES MARRYING A WIZARD MAKE YOU A WIZARD?
Комментарии: 11

WHAT IF a wizard marries a sorcerer?

Well, it is true that wizardry is actually a PHD in magic while sorcery is innate. But I think it is the children, not the spouse that become sorcerers.

Him: "Just one rule." Her: "What?" Him: "The robe stays on." Her: "... Ditto."

I disagree. Wizardry is something you learn, so if you study hard, you can be a wizard. Sorcery is in your blood, so marrying a sorcerer wouldn't make YOU a sorcerer, but your children would be Warlocks, however, are pact-based, and I would say that would be gained in marriage

I for once. Wanted to marry a mommy wizard but there's non available near me

In my last playthrough of bg3 I invested one point in wizard for my sorcerer like fine I'll pick up a damn book.

Wizard is like Doctor, it's earned through work Sorcery can only be passed down to children, as it's a lineage Warlock can be passed on to spouses if the pact is written to include so (and often is as those desperate to deal with otherworldly patrons don't read fine print)

Wizard is like Doctor: It's a title to signify your accomplishments. Sorcerer is a title by birth: You will at best be sorcerer-consort, but your children will be sorcerers. Warlock is definitely a title bestowed by marriage, with all the perks and responsibilities that entails.

Also you won't become sorcerer if you marry a sorcerer (or have sex with tem). Your children however can become sorcerers to. It kinda works like the royalty. You might be a royal consort but you yourself are not King or Queen. In fact - you are last in the sucession line

I guess that explains why Simon the Sorcerer was so bad at sorcery

This is some complicated mythical marriage stuff
