Does Marvel Rivals have a counter swapping problem like Overwatch? #MarvelRivals

so u want to play a game that's easy for u to win on the same character every match...the problem isn't swapping or buffs its the repetitive play style. same map same objective same characters. it gets boring they need a story mode

A hero shooter is supposed to give you multiple solutions to a problem. If you don’t want to pick the right solution. You are the Problem. There are games where you can play who you want and there are games where you adapt.

Their issue as well is making characters all rounders instead of allowing them to be strong with weaknesses. Like thing used to be weak to poke and flyers and they gave him buffs where he can jump on poke and flyers, its so annoying

This is the entire point of these games. This isnt cod where everyone has the same opportunitys. Everyone has different abilities and some work good against certain but bad against others. People advanced from ordinary gameplay. Go further than that man

I think people fail to realize that the point of the video game is to enjoy it. If you have free time and feel like playing ranked then yes, you’re supposed to be counterswapping and playing meta. If you don’t feel like doing that then play the game as it was intended and go qp.

Well go play with your favorite hero in quick play. In rank it is smart to counter a character that can make it hard for your team to win against. Idk why people talk about swapping like it’s a bad thing

Legit all they would have to do is lock ur character pick in comp and ig they could leave it open in qp. Paladins had that and it was great, no counter swapping, play who u pick. I genuinely hate when people say counter swapping is "part of the game", it shouldn't be

Hard disagree. The better players are the ones that have multiple heroes they can contribute with. You shouldn’t just get to play your favorite hero and never expect to swap. I also think it’s unrealistic to expect that kind of soft counter balance in a game like this

Nigga this isn’t fucking overwatch. The game wants you to play varying character it doesn’t want you to OTP. Thats why the game has a team up system.

it’s nice to see someone finally mention this, hero shooters should be more about learning matchups and playing around your counters rather then just picking the right hero and winning, that’s what overwatch leaned into with stadium and then they let it die

@KingMetroChan Im not sorry to say that this sounds like is a bunch of skill issues… You not about to have a good time playing Spiderman if Ppl play namor or scarlet so if you want to continue the match either SWAP or Get Diffed its really simple. Thats the point of 6v6 Hero shooters

The problem is that 1/3rd of you came from OverWatch and you think you know better. Some of us came from COD and others from other games. Marvel Rivals isn’t overwatch.

you can play into your counters in rivals like it really really sucks but its doable but then you see characters that are given Free Get out of Jail Cards (CnD) and they just get away with getting countered and their mistakes like....why do I even bother might as well switch.

Before the new johnny teamup, thing was ranked B tier by high elo. Now he gets the new johnny teamup and we gotta over haul his whole kit???? Its the team up thats an issue, plus the high sustain(supports). He doesn’t need a new kit. Somebody that needs a whole new kit is BP

I play rank and get countered swapped consistently as expected, the nano second I go into a QUICK PLAY they’re still doing the same thing like it’s a rank match happens in most hero shooters to me in general.

I’ve only played Rivals a few times and each time half the lobbies would be complaining people aren’t using characters THEY want you to play as.
