People used to do that to people for telling them they dont know how to swim and she probably put that kid through classes to be able to swim plus its not like she walked away shes watching her kid but I cant say she right about what she be doing

she wasn't going to let the kid drown, this is a well known method to not only let kids feel more comfortable while in water and to help them learn to swim. so many kids I knew loved just floating like this
