And he is not alone—here's a thread with a whole lot of celeb strike support!

@steve_shives Colbert is a treasure.

Unions gave us weekends. Remember that. Before WWII, most wage earners worked five and a half to 6 days a week. “What’s a weekend?” — Dowager Countess of Grantham, circa 1920, via writer Julian Fellowes, “Downton Abbey” #downtonabbey #WritersGuildofAmerica

Colbert you might be a Neo-liberal but sometimes you do indeed have some great takes! Unions rock!

He had a privileged upbringing, but he understands that organized labor is the backbone of America. There's no doctors w/o unionized nurses. There's no colleges w/o unionized EC-12 teachers. There's no Late Show w/o his union writers.

My one request for @StephenAtHome for this strike. Please do this performance again. #writersstrike #WGAStrike

Public support for #Union is becoming normal once again in America and that’s a very good thing. I hope it doesn’t stop here and public figures speak out in favor of the repeal of #RightToWork laws just like in MI few weeks back. This is how you revive the middle class of America

Like Colbert but this staff seems to have even less diversity than an investment banking firm…what gives

@lyndastraffin He fucking does, he said so last night!💙💥❤️💥
