However, when loss of possession occurs as the ball contacts the ground, the ground is essentially aiding the receiver in the process of the catch. In #ALAvsUGA, I believe that the receiver did not maintain possession of the ball as it contacted the ground and would’ve liked to see this play reviewed.

“This has never ever been called a pick.” Yes, it has…this fanbase (#RavensFlock ) simply didn’t cry about it for a week bc we actually know ball. Cooks did not complete the final process of a catch (survive the ground) as the defender took the ball away before that could happen. Cooks being down by contact is not applicable, he isn’t a runner. Why this is still being discussed is actually embarrassing.
