The moon is "tidally locked" and orbitally locked. After millions and millions of years planets lock their moons orbits and slow down there spin over time until it matches with earths spin rate. The moon does spin, however it only spins once per day. Therefor the moons face always looks at the earth at the same angle. If you go to Australia, guess what? the moon looks "upside down". they see a different view since they have a different perspective in relation to the moon. Its all about perspective. If you venture into space and stay stationary you will observe the moon spinning, once per day. You will see the back of the moon as well. The moon has craters, many, many craters from asteroid impacts over millions of years. They do not resemble earths continents and land mass. You can bend, stretch, rotate anything to make it seem like a "mirror image" or whatever.
