Does the UK rinse their dishes?

I'm in the UK and soap should be rinsed off, these people are animals

In Yorkshire, we don't even do that, we just let the dog lick our plates clean.

Nobody in the Uk washes dishes like this. They need to be washed and rinsed Or just in dishwasher

You're doing it wrong. You have too much soap and the water has to be very hot. You also scrub the dishes with a sponge and place the dishes in a drying rack.

I've never seen anyone do that. 1. Rinse the dishes of debris 2. Fill the basics with hot soapy water 3. Clean the dishes 4. Give the clean item a shoogle in basin 5. Sit on dishes rack 6. Leave them to air-dry 7. Put them away

Who does that ? Rinse them under warm water if you don't have a second sink 🤣

Yes we do this, but we use a cloth/sponge/brush to clean the dishes, which removes most of the suds, then they are put on a drainer where the rest drips off. If your dishes taste soapy, you’ve used far too much ✨

I have been English all my life and i have never seen anyone do this.

i have never rinsed bubbles off anything in my entire life life, if there’s a few bubbles on something recently washed then i’ll grab a tea towel to dry it🤣

Stick this in the same folder as "UK food is shit". Most of us use a dishwasher so it's straight from the drying cycle to a cupboard, if it's damp it goes on the draining section of the sink. Single sink users put sud covered stuff to one side, empty the soapy sink, then rinse.

Rinse of the dirt them. Then wash one at a time through hot minimal soapy water with a sponge then on a drying rack - once done you can put a basin of plain water over the drying rack (if you want)

I used to, but i tried not rinsing them and once they dried I didn't notice any dish soap smell or taste risidue. The amount of time and effort saved by not rinsing them is significant.

Maybe some people do that but I’ve never seen anyone leave so much soap on their dishes 🤷‍♀️

Nope, never have done, neither did my parents or grandparents, no need too do it, wastes water as well. Know someone who works for a major washing up liquid factory in that plant, and they don't either. They see how its made and if it doesn't worry them, then it doesn't me.

You’re doing this the wrong way around. The dishes start on the right. You wash them one at a time in the soapy water. Rinse under running cold water over the rinser sink. Place them to drain on the draining board, to the left. It looks like I’m watching you on rewind. 😁

Born & lived in England my whole life……never done this and never even heard of this. Any Brits who do this should have their citizenship revoked.

We rinse glasses and mugs and use a dish drainer to stack plates, dishes and saucepans to drain off. We don’t place them on a tea towel like you have there hahahaha

Wash correctly then rinse, never seen it done like this. It's certainly not a " UK thing "

1. Scrape/stack dirty plates on kitchen sideboard. 2. Wash in soapy hot water in bowl with sponge/scourer. 3. Place clean, albeit foamy, items on draining board, ideally on a rack. 4. Use clean teatowel to dry each item and put it back in in the cupboard/drawer.

You also need to scrub the food off and rinse ffs we’re not animals 🙄🤣

Never rinse pots, they just drain off. Your suds look a lot thicker though. Maybe the washing up liquid/dish soap is different. Try using less.

And that's why I don't take anyone up when they volunteer to wash up, I have to do it again, my way, once they leave with scalding hot water.
