Someone asked if the government is testing out a new weapon in preparation for issuing martial law. This is an interesting opinion.

There has to be some reason they don't want us to know what they are doing and why - I believe it is our government.

This does sound like it cold be plausible and does make plenty of sense and by the government not saying anything would surely cause the big distraction they need to act upon what their true motive is
