If I remember correctly in the Berlin and Hamburg malls, we used credits from the shopping and meals receipts to get entry into the toilets/restrooms

以前我们穷的时候，国家修了许多公测，甚至出现一条路最漂亮，最好装修的居然是公共厕所这一笑话，大部分这类厕所都是收费的。费用也很便宜，0.1~0.2RMB。最主要是解决了当地居民入厕困难的局面。进入2000年后大部分厕所收回修建成本，也就全部都免费了。。就这种微不足道的政绩，都是很多国家学不来的

如果公厕收费，那么根据自由市场原则，民众有权不消费，并且把屎尿直接拉在路上。

Toilets (restrooms) are all free in the U.S. Sometimes it’s just a matter of finding one as some places restrict them to customers and limit vagrants from using them. But it’s usually pretty easy to work around that. But there’s usually toilets in most public areas.

i’m not against a paid public toilet if they pay the cleaner to keep it clean 24/7. Imagine having it as a choice in China, tourists would be happy to pay.

50 years ago in bus stations etc they charged .10 cents or 1/10 of a usd. So many complaints and people climbing under etc. I’ve never seen a toilet fee in America but certain areas really should charge. It costs the city money to run

The local government should be blamed. In China, these kinds of things are usually funded by local governments. Although I'm not sure exactly where the funds come from. Well, based on my experience of traveling around China over the past decade, I haven't come across any paid

Here's in Indonesia, some public areas are paid but some public are free. But if they charged it, usually for pee 2000 IDR (0.10 euro) , pup 3000 IDR (0.15 euro), bath 5000 IDR (0.24 euro).

In Germany they charge for the toilet and commit tax evasion and still don‘t get hunted by the ministry of finance. The toilet mafia is a billion euro business overthere.

I spent a month in MaxPlank institute Heidelberg July to August, and in the city restrooms were inconvenient required cash. Japan, restrooms are free with no cash.But I appreciate highly level such as the Autobahn being toll-free that is superior public services.

In America most places say for customers only
