To help remove cosmoline from gun parts, I heat them up with a hair dryer. This decreases the viscosity of the grease and makes it easier to wipe off

What I would do is get a 50 cal ammo can.. pack it with Tannerite, then place the pistol inside the box, seal it, then fire an M855 round right at it😂😂
