I mean it made sense till today, the Yankees acquired him to be the closer. He has a 1.66 ERA in his last past 3 years. After today, though, they should give him some lower lever situations to build his confidence back up and have Weaver meanwhile. Like Chapman in 2017.

I didn’t think they needed a closer because they had Weaver. Williams has awesome pitches but he hasn’t been able to show that too much. Maybe he is having trouble balancing with having a new baby?
