Cats can feel other living beings suffering My cat did something very similar when I was very ill only time that he ever stayed on the bed next to me for days at a time

That's so heartwarming! It's amazing how animals can show such empathy and care. Wishing your dog a smooth and speedy recovery.

Animals sense things, they are smarter than people think. My cat did the same with me when I was very ill.

The way the cat is so sweet and gentle, checking he’s okay and then the supportive paw too 🥺

Anyone who knows cat body language will recognise that that cat is doing everything possible to not disturb the dog or come across as wanting to play fight. It's incredibly gentle, subservient behaviour but also shows an understanding that the dog is ill and might snap at them.

They know. And they have very deep spiritual and emotional bonds.
