.. this is bullshit It is not possible for the original Dogecoin to become a first-class native asset on Solana in the same way SOL is native there. Dogecoin lives on its own independent UTXO chain secured by Scrypt proof-of-work. Solana uses an account model and a completely different consensus design. Those two ledgers cannot share the same tokens, balances, or issuance rules. Any version that appears on Solana is therefore a representation created by a bridge (in this case Wormhole NTT plus verification of Dogecoin proofs). The Solana token with mint DoGEV7LASBkQbibMc5k5vKnTZoMg423GpJ5QtJEGfm7R is an SPL token. On-chain data shows only a few million units minted so far, versus the roughly 156 billion DOGE that exist on the original chain. New coins continue to be issued only on Dogecoin; the Solana version does not mine or inherit that monetary policy. You also cannot spend the Solana token on the Dogecoin network without moving it back through the same bridging infrastructure. The marketing language of “native” and “canonical” only means there is now one official Solana mint instead of many competing wrapped versions. It does not change the underlying fact that two separate blockchains cannot host the identical native asset.
