The fun part of experimenting with brushes is that you have to figure out how the ink behaves first. How it spreads. How it flows. Only after that do you start thinking about texture. And honestly both parts are hard in their own way. What I tried today was adding something like a magnetic force into the ink. So while drawing, these unexpected textures start to show up.Most of the strength and density come from layering 2D Perlin noise. It’s actually really fun to play with. A lot of time goes into things no one ever notices. That’s just life :)

thank you, thank you, thank you to all the people there last night. I loved this show so much. I can't tell you. Everything about it was right. The set list, the band. I felt so happy to be on that stage from beginning to end. Like I told you, I was a wreck all day maybe even the last few days worrying about how we could make it better than the last show from the previous residency. Right now I think we did it now we got a job to do. This is gonna be a touff one to beat.

It’s time to do something about it.’ How much more bulletproof glass do we have to put up? How many more prisons do we need to build? We have more comprehensive responses to measles outbreaks and heroin overdoses than we do to the RAMPANT and VIOLENT lawlessness in urban black communities. Like holy shit.
