After the City Council meeting, Chicago Flips Red went to pay Toni Preckwinkle a visit at the Cook County Board meeting to ask Toni how she was able to buy a million-dollar home while we’re struggling to keep ours under these high property taxes. But Toni didn’t feel the need to come out for public comment to hear what the people had to say especially about these high property taxes. Why haven’t they said a single word about them? Yeah… you thought we forgot about you, Toni? No. Mm-mm. We didn’t forget. Everybody is getting held accountable. #votered

Putin is going to India at some point: Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval during the meeting with Shoigu: "We are very excited and delighted to learn about the visit of president Putin to India. I think that the dates are almost finalized now. I hope that our meeting will give us some new ideas that we can make the forthcoming meeting more worthwhile." Meanwhile, Russian media are reporting his words as follows, making up the timeframe of their meeting: "We were delighted to hear about president Putin's planned visit to our country at the end of August. It is very important that the summit sets new directions for development and produces substantial, tangible results in the negotiations."

I joined Good Morning Britain this morning to say thank you to Keir Starmer. His policies to reduce hotel use for asylum seekers has led to more than £1 billion in savings. It’s been slow and unglamorous work, but it meets the commitments made in the The Labour Party manifesto. Unlike Reform, Labour have shown they can deliver a fair immigration policy with compassion and tolerance and I, for one, am very grateful to the PM for meeting his promises to the public in 2024.
