Doing something 13-year-old me thought would never happen: I am rooting hard for Kelvin Sampson on Monday.

Told this story 100x on the podcast: My dad sat next to Kelvin at an Edmond Kiwanis Club meeting and came home glowing about how great of a guy Kelvin was. The sports hate was dead and this was at the HEIGHT of the Eddie-Kelvin Bedlam Wars. Good life lesson, as well: Be kind.

Several failed OSU hires ago there was forum chatter about hiring this guy and the OSU fans were outraged. He needed another chance and OSU needed someone who understood the program. How bad of an idea does it seem like now?

I was in GIA the night Vic hit the game winner as the clock expired. Kelvin ran out on the court stomping his feet and waving his arms like a madman. The refs had to replay the shot to make sure Vic got the shot off in time. He did and the place exploded. Fun times. Go Coogs.

I have nothing but respect for Kelvin. The compassion and respect that he showered on a physically failing Eddie Sutton was moving. I don't give a damn about the game, or sports anymore. The portal and NIL were the final straws.
