I make mine but not with yoghurt it doesn’t need it - cream and salt that’s it, takes 15 mins

I made some a few weeks ago, exactly this way. (except I sloshed buttermilk all over the counter) 🤣

No yogurt needed. Whip heavy cream until it separates...(food processor is good) ...drain ...then squeeze out most moisture ...lay out flattened a bit ...add some sprinkle of salt and fold in ...shape and put in fridge. Small amount is fine for me. Takes about 15 minutes

This is how I make my butter but rinse it more please and it takes longer than a couple of minutes to split. Don't let it ferment too long or its super tangy.

It's not easy, but you can find whole cream made without carrageenan or gellan gum thickeners and additives. One organic brand carried by Trader Joe's for example dilutes their cream with milk and then adds gellan gum to thicken. $neaky and not uncommon.

Where do we get real heavy creamer without additives? Not at the grocer.

We did this in elementary school, shaking the jar until we made butter!

Check the ingredients in the “cream”. Big companies jack it up with added ingredients.

I made some a few days ago because of this video. It turned out amazing! I love buttermilk too, with a little salt and pepper, so good!

@Whitehorselilly I fancy having a go at this, trouble is, I'd have to buy a mixer..and THEN the cakes & more bread would start! Best not really. We have a bread maker & make organic white bread loaf every other day. It's simple & yummy. OMG when you read the ingredients that are in shop bread!

We learned how to make butter in grade school and to this day its the best butter I have ever had.

even better if the milk is from glass jugs

We made butter accidently one night. We needed whipped cream for our Irish Coffee and had no devices. So we put cream in a jar and began taking turns shaking. We got carried away and lo and behold: butter!

So they say let it sit is that in a refrigerator or on the counter in a controlled air-conditioned kitchen

i add salt and some fine ground hot pepper lol

Even better if you use fresh milk from the cow

I do the same with kefir.

Unpasteurized whipping cream otherwise it's garbage

Yum

How exactly is using store bought pasturized milk healthy or old fashioned?

Been making my own bread and butter for years. One quart of cream and 2 to 3 tablespoons of probiotic plain yogurt (crème fraiche it is) out on the counter until it bubbles makes the best butter.

Absolutely!

Made from your processed and ultra pasteurized cream? You just added more steps to make the same butter Costco will sell you for the same price...but you know...at a better price. I hate when dumb people attract other idiots.

Don’t forget, you can set salted butter out for two days so it’s soft. So if you’re eating it often cut some of it off set it out covered and use it within two days.

lol

When do you add salt for salted butter?

I’m trying it!!

And in the thermomix is also a breeze to make

Another way is also possible!🤷🏼♂️

@DEL_YNWA_R2S2 As a butter lover, I’ve just got to try this!!

I’m sorry I don’t have the money to subscribe; but I loved learning how to make real butter & buttermilk. The “Old fashioned ways” are very interesting & too many people have no clue how to survive without modern conditions. I want to learn more, if you’re willing to let me.🤔💯☝️✝️🙏🫡🇺🇸🫡🇮🇱❤️🥰😊

🙏 like buttah but bettah

Is that a special kid on the jar? Where do you get that? Also, is he wrapping it in wax paper?

What is cultured yogurt?
