Baby on board! If our maths is correct, Tagwa will have a baby before the year’s end. She is getting bigger and slower – all signs that she’s in the final phases of her pregnancy. While some of our expectant mums are famous for their mood swings (ahem, Murera), Tagwa has been as calm as ever. We can’t wait to meet her baby, whenever it arrives! In January 2025, a wild bull showed up at Voi and spent several days courting Tagwa. The gestation period of an elephant is 22 months, which means that her due date is drawing ever closer. One of our other pregnant goats just delivered! Luck has not been on our side though. We had to call our Dr. Pol out because the first one was breached and I couldn't get it. He eventually got it. The second baby was stuck in the uterine horn and doc struggled with it. It was dead even before it was delivered. So 2 girls, but only one survived. We have 4 more pregnant moms due any day now!

Brotherhood dance crew in one of their podcast episodes said j-hope & Jungkook killed it in the "I Want You Back" challenge & wondering why they didn't think about doing it down a hall like them 😁 After hobi posted that last July, many more did the same travelling while dancing version. Bhagwant Mann’s government has allegedly turned Independence Day into a publicity stunt, with Health Department employees reportedly presented as elderly beneficiaries of successful knee replacement surgeries despite never undergoing the procedure. A spectacle of lies in the name of August 15! Elderly people were made to dance before the cameras and presented as beneficiaries. A staged performance was then projected as a major achievement of the government’s so called “health revolution.” Punjab’s hospitals need doctors, medicines and real treatment, not propaganda and photo ops. Our elders deserve dignity. Punjab deserves the truth.

Five people were injured after a shooting this evening in Northeast DC, making this DC’s first mass shooting less than 72 hours into the New Year. DC Police were called out just before 8:20pm to the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way NE in Eckington DC. On scene, a female and two men were found injured… they are all last reported to be conscious. Police are determining if one of the people were shot or injured by glass from the gunfire. Additionally, two men showed up at a hospital with gunshot wounds. (also still conscious) One is believed to be a suspect. Appears to possibly be domestic in nature. h/t Alan Henney

Around seven plates and drums would be placed on the ground, and the dancer would move and leap among them, light as a sparrow, with graceful steps and flowing sleeves. It was a vivid display of the elegance and delicacy of Han dynasty dance. In Three Kingdoms: The Beginning, there is a fascinating scene: Cao Cao (曹操) had just been reprimanded by the Grand General He Jin (何进) and left in anger. Yuan Shao (袁绍), who was still his friend at the time, grew worried and visited Cao's mansion. But what Yuan Shao sees is not a furious or dejected Cao Cao. Instead, Cao Cao is joyfully playing the flute. Beside him, an elegant lady was dancing among the drums, performing the Seven Plate Dance. He had just been humiliated, yet moments later, he was composed enough to play music while a graceful dance unfolded before him. That mindset already feels unmistakably "Cao Cao."" And here's the question: Can you guess the identity of the woman dancing beside Cao Cao?

Moved to Dubai a month ago… Then two drones exploded next to our building, I was listed #3 on the UAE public prosecutor’s list for “publishing illegal content” (the video of the Fairmont on fire that got 1.7m views) resulting in my X account being banned across the country, followed by another week of hiding in the basement due to constant barrages of missiles and drones. Then a couple days ago after Marina 23 and the airport got hit I decided we’ve pushed our luck far enough. Made our way over the border into Oman the night before last and flew out this morning. Good luck to everyone in the GCC. But if you have the means to get out – I suggest you do so. Don’t FAFO.
