Dolphins 1st rounder Chris Johnson volunteered that Dolphins 3rd rounder Caleb Douglas was the toughest WR to cover at the Senior Bowl.

I’m guessing this was before the draft. Very interesting. It def seems the dolphins staff put a lot of stock in the senior bowl performances

Looks to me like that’s a Combine desk interview and they’re talking about the Senior Bowl which had just happened the prior month. Note how the interviewer said they’d already heard Caleb Douglas’s name brought up a few times, so several players ID’d him as a tough cover.

This was at the Combine before the draft btw. Johnson had no idea Douglas would end up his teammate. Also thought it interesting the interviewer said he’s heard that name multiple times on the day so he’d been asking that question and several brought up Douglas.

@DolphinsTalk I will say after watching Douglas, he’s got the short area quickness of a guy much smaller than 6’4”. Really fluid at his size, shakes a lot of guys.

I like the affinity for senior bowl standouts. Seems like the hit rate on guys who turned heads there has always been pretty good.

@DolphinsTalk This kid has many tools! One of which is he’s a loyal Man. He could of went anywhere. He stuck to his word. He’s one ya want in that locker room. He can flat out play as well

maybe his ranking around the league was different just on his Senior Bowl Performance, probably still reached a little, but maybe not as big as the consensus board suggested

He absolutely said this in the interviews with the team too
