Also played second when the Pine tar game was restarted. A clip like this just reminds me how unfair it is to southpaws: pitcher, outfield, first base. That’s it.

🇺🇸 One Nation, under Trump, Stronger THAN EVER. Are you Trump Tough? 💪Tough T's Here:

So weird seeing a left-handed thrower there.

My favorite player growing up and I don't recall this, but it doesn't surprise me one bit.

Even better – Phil Rizzuto calling it

Some of the best hands in the history of Baseball

I don't remember this. Had to look it up. Played 3 gm in '86 at 3B. I wonder if Pags was hurt or something to force Pinella to do this.

His fielding instincts and positioning were incredible. He was damn near a weapon on defense…holding runners, turning DPs, fielding bad throws, stretching on close plays, managing iffy cutoff throws. No wonder he became a manager. Great situational fielder.

Might wanna keep that Drabek guy, Steinbrenner.

@immaculategrid 😎

They didn’t win that year, but Mattingly was clearly the best player in the MLB then. Is HOF worthy.
