Quintel explains the crew received phone calls from parents during the initial run of ‘Regular Show’ for its TV-PG material. “We were two or three seasons in of doing this type of stuff and getting it in, and it’d be on TV, and then eventually, I think the show got some calls to the point they were like, “We need you guys to tone it down and take some of that stuff out.” And we had to retroactively pull some of the language and some of the stuff they don’t let us get away with as much. But we have been able to lean back on what made us so popular. We’re like, “That’s part of what made it so cool.” I’m so excited for the new season, because I feel like we’ve got a lot of that vibe.”

And you’ve gotta stay true to where you have guys graded, not take guys just to take them but to take guys that you're interested in at that point. And it just never really aligned. We were happy to add Colby. We think he's a really good scheme fit. Great thing about Iowa is they run a very similar, they run a lot of outside zones, so you get to see a guy like him do things that we do and he does them well. So, we’re happy to add that. But there were a number of times Kyle and I were talking about that at the end that just didn't align, one of those deals and you don't want to force things. So, it wasn't our time for that."

On Sunday we had our annual Christmas party for local families. These players know how fortunate they are to be in the position that they are in, and seeing these guys give each of the families something out of their own pocket made me feel good about what we are doing and what we teach. A big map was Lotus for us, and we weren’t able to, just everything wasn’t going our way. The Odin was completely annihilating us. Then when we got to Abyss, we were like, ‘This is the last chance.’ And I felt very confident that we could win this one, because I felt like I knew everything they did on the attack side. And then, what were we like 1–11 down or something? I was like, ‘Oh bloody hell, this one’s going to be a tough one, isn’t it?’ We managed to do it, and then I was like, ‘Holy guacamole, the dream is alive!’ And it felt amazing, hearing the crowd and being able to just do that, because it would’ve been so disappointing of a final to just bomb out there. But in the FNATIC way, we fight back. Ascent, we’re starting to feel the kind of momentum. And then it gets to Sunset, a map that was the one kind of perma-ban we had, but we had some stuff on it. Unfortunately, it was just the crucial map for us to get the win, and some of the rounds just didn’t go our way, and that’s how VALORANT goes, you know. It felt like the rounds that we needed to win, we lost, and then they had an ultimate the next round, and that’s how brutal it is on defense. If we want to resolve our current income, wealth, and productivity gap, we need to get back to the basics. We need good education, so our children are productive and can work well together. We need a civil society with rule of law, and good capital markets that produce good income. And we need to double down on the fundamentals — earning more than we spend, and having more assets than liabilities. Do all of that, and we’ll be in great shape.
