I found out the hard way this year. I had to be signed off due to stress and anxiety. Workplaces will replace you the minute you need them. Switch jobs every couple of years folks. Find better, move up!!!

I swear I used to be like this. Worked for a company for over 10 years, and there was no appreciation at all. My last raise was the last straw. I chose peace of mind, and better quality of life. Loyal to the wrong people

I remember folks used to laugh at millennials always taking days off back in our 20s. Now some of us are 40 and still look like we're in our 20s. Work is good, too much work ages you hard. Take a day off and do nothing. Just because you can. It's yours. Work will always be fine

I've had 2 bosses die of a heart attack since covid. Both are at that retirement age and heavy smokers, but still. If it's stressful, it's not. I'm using all my sick days and PTO

I make it MANDATORY to a “relax, relate, release” trip EVERY season… So 4X annually… While laying on their death bed: You will NEVER, EVER hear someone say, “I wish that I spent MORE Time at the Office!” Live. Your. Life. People! I know that I do:

@GEN80 I stepped away a year ago this past October to focus on my mom who passed in July. I worked and gave too much of my time and life to a job and a leader who clearly did not appreciate it only to make herself look better. I will never do that shyt again!

And that is America for you. Understand start your retirement plan at the age of 18. By the time you reach 55, you can retire in another country. Take this money and run. I did.

Let us not forget the payout of the COLI "peasant" policy the corporation took out on Ron, that the family never knew about, and will not get ONE RED CENT. Because those hours before the next employee is called "LOSS OF PRODUCTIVITY," Ain't it a f*cking SHAM. RIP Ron

Ron was my daddy. He worked for a company for over 30 years. Gave HIS ALL!!! Did everything for the elderly tenants. He retired and they hired 5 people for the job he did. 3 montths after he retired, he got sick and started going down hill FAST. He never got to enjoy it. RIPDAD

Sure. But what’s his 401k and life insurance policy look like? Did his kids get through college? How’s his wife doing? Ron made those sacrifices for his family. Because anything less, he would be considered a dead beat or divorced.

Been through the exact same thing When a coworker passed a few years ago. The machine doesn’t stop only adjust and reshuffles the work. It’s imperative to take time for yourself and enjoy family and life.

Met a bunch of “Rons” in the construction field. Bunch of 60+ year old men, relentlessly tired cogs in a wheel day in and day out. Most of the convos we had, was how they wish they managed their time and finances better so they could retire, instead of working until no more.

I hear this Story for years but it always a good Reminders to focus on Life if possible, not as easy to do sometimes, Can’t be Mad at the company but find a way to break out that Rat race. 🙏

I worked with a few Ron’s. In my 30 years in the Union, we were reminded at every meeting. One of the sad realities of retirement, getting old. Most of your coworkers and friends are no longer with us.

I got disillusioned w/Nursing when they decided that instead of a party for loyal employees from 5-30yrs they’d take a business office only trip to Dubai. The 30yr lady snapped & they gave her a used laptop & said they were gonna let her take 1yr of her 2yr PTO before capping it.

Take it from another Ron, loyalty to these companies means nothing. I experienced this in 2020 and 2024, no more. #noloyalty

Sad! At my job, when people get hurt immediately or collapse, they call for your replacement before the 911. Take care of yourself 1st, not the company respectfully

Can’t handle situations because you got a stress thyroid exacerbation with people always concerned with the interest even a family to deny to skate to not do we don’t know what’s going on with you. That’s what people are so when I come up again, I ain’t gonna know what’s going.

It’s funny that you say that. But in reverse. There is a handkerchief head peckerTom named Ronald out of Baltimore. We call her PeckerTom Ron for short because she’s an extreme Ratcoon. This person is adamantly against reparations. But they work one day a week at a football stadium and live off of the United States government in the form of welfare. And as it stands right now. They aren’t allowed to be around children. Whatever you do do not be like PeckerTom Ron.
