Some people don’t care about Roi on their purchase and they rather spend money on things that make them happy.

I don’t own a mobile home…but the example he provided doesn’t make sense. $55k mobile home over 10’years equals $458/month…that pretty cheap rent. And if you get 10k back at the end (in resale) that’s 10k more than an apartment will give you. This argument doesn’t fly.

How this though. Buy a mobile home for cash, then invest the money you would spend in mortgage and get rich.

Bought a mobile home in 1989 for $49000, sold it in 2021 for $350,000. There are always exceptions to every "never rule" plan ahead in everything.

I would buy a mobile home with land if it's on a foundation. Also Modular homes are built to the same code as stick built
