@keatingssixth “Cis” and “Trans” have been used in science for decades to describe “the same side of” & “the opposite side of”. In this case; the same side of the gender you were born or opposite. The fact people are choosing to be offended by what they actually are is insane.

HS chemistry we learned Cis- from the latin meaning “on the same side as”, which sits opposite Trans-from the latin “on the opposite side as”. Terms have been used in the scientific disciplines for centuries, chemistry, geography, and genetics.

Yes, language changes throughout time. But you do understand that not everyone subscribed to every new change or concept. If people don’t want to be called cisgender, then it shouldn’t be hard to just respect that the same way it shouldn’t be hard to respect a trans or non binary persons pronouns.

Complete drivel. "Cis" is an attempt by TiM's to sub-categorise Women. Women reject the term as a slur & rightly so. It is a question of intent. Women require no descriptors. Trans- Women (Trans Idenifying Males), DO require descriptors. Biological men are not and will never be Women. Facts of life here on planet Earth. Enjoy.
