Painter, and that's not how I'd do it. Takes to long, painting is about making time. First, to do a real job you's have a prime and 1-2 coats finish. Take a puddy knife, crack the seal of the jamb. Move it out a smidge. Fast paint your coats, push molding back in, touch up molding if needed. If it's very uneven, run a thin bead of caulk.

He’s using a 2 1/2 angle brush. If he was really a pro he would use a flat 3 inch.
