Wait. Blue things make blue water? Red things make red water? Green things make green water? What kind of sorcery is this?

I clean my berries in a glass bowl with filtered water plus either 1 tbsp of baking soda or 1 tbsp of distilled white vinegar (from a glass bottle). Let them soak for about 10 minutes, gently agitate them with your hands a few times, then drain, refill with clean water, and rinse again. You don’t need this gadget. If you use vinegar in a plastic container, the acidity may increase the leaching of chemicals from the plastic over time. Glass avoids that concern.

Go spend 1 day picking berries at a large farm and you’ll never eat anything without washing them again.

I picked one of those up after getting tired of picking through grapes and it actually works, just crank it and they come out way cleaner than I ever did by hand.

You can't do that with strawberries strawberries absorb water. I tried it once and my strawberries turned salty.

You know eating a little dirt is good for you right ,plus all this extra washing can strip the fruit of its nutrients but then again nothing like some good old fashioned fear mongering ,just rinse the fruit under water or wipe on your shirt you fool

I’m curious how well it actually removes dirt and pesticides compared to normal washing, and whether the build quality is good enough for daily use. @grok what do you think about the effectiveness and quality of these automatic fruit washers?

Looks super satisfying to watch, but honestly, is it any faster than just using a regular kitchen colander and washing them by hand? 🧺 Seems like a lot of extra plastic to clean afterward. 🧼🤷‍♂️
