Professional golfer Grayson Murray died by suicide yesterday. He struggled with alcoholism and mental health issues for years. In January he won his second PGA Tour event, the Sony Open in Hawaii. During the press conference after the tournament, instead of letting him celebrate and asking him questions about golf, the media asked Grayson one question after another about his addiction and mental health struggles. Instead of getting offended or irritated, Grayson answered every question patiently and honestly. He was a fighter. Anyone struggling with the same type of issues and in need of encouragement should watch this video. Don't give up. Keep fighting.

Police called Sonya Massey shooting 'Self-Inflicted' Despite Deputy's Shots The fatal shooting of Sonya Massey by an Illinois police officer, who is now charged with her murder, was initially reported as "self-inflicted," according to newly released audio. Bodycam footage from Illinois State Police captures a dispatcher asking the responding Sangamon County sheriff's deputies: “Just to confirm: self-inflicted?” An unidentified voice responds, “Self-inflicted,” moments later. The video shows 30-year-old Deputy Sean Grayson shooting Massey in her home. Grayson has since been fired and charged with first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, and official misconduct. Grayson also inquired if Massey, who had earlier told deputies she was "trying to get help," had "any call history for being 10-96," the police code for a mentally ill individual, according to the footage. Massey's family claimed that police told them she had died by suicide.

Yesterday, 50 years ago, I was forced to leave everything I had ever known behind. In the dark haze of the morning, my family and I fled as everything around us crumbled. Saigon had fallen, and so had the lives my family had built for us. Fortunate to be embraced by American kindness and opportunity, I earned my place as an American and Texan. Ever since arriving in this great state so many years ago, I never took for granted this blessing of freedom, opportunity, and compassion. From my first job in the United States as a busboy to being a member of the greatest state legislature in the nation, I serve, I speak, I fight for freedom and opportunity because it is never guaranteed. I commit to the values of this state and nation for my family, for my lost land, for my children and yours, and to always be that light in the darkness that is communism. #txlege

6,000 years before the Sahara became a desert, its climate was similar to that of India. The axial precession and the Sun are to blame for the abrupt climate change that occurred 6,000 years ago. I assume that around 3,000 years ago, it became even worse, and the entire Arabian Peninsula and the Middle East turned into deserts. Perhaps this time, after the geophysical event, India will become a desert. But make no mistake, the entire planet will be affected by this civilization-resetting event!

For decades, this one-of-a-kind instrument has brought joy to the Grateful Dead community, and we’re glad to know it has found a home with someone who appreciates the magic Doug Irwin built so many years ago. More than anything, Tiger was made to roar. We hope it finds its way into the hands of those who will be good stewards of this music’s legacy.
