@CarneddauPonies Thank you Gareth, people won't know or even realise. I'm sure they didn't mean any harm, but everyone will understand now you've told them why

@CarneddauPonies Agreed, and people should not feed anybodies ponies or horses anything, killing with kindness.

@CarneddauPonies a lot of this went on in Covid once people were allowed to go Wilkie’s, two that I know of died because stupid people fed them, I had signs put up for mine, 2 of which are on special diets due to Cushing disease, I shouted at lots of people on social media, makes me very angry

A carrot (🥕) primarily contains: Water: Carrots are about 88% water. Carbohydrates: Including sugars like sucrose, providing sweetness, and fiber, which aids in digestion. Vitamins: Vitamin A (from beta-carotene): Good for eye health, immune function, and skin health. Vitamin K1: Important for blood clotting and bone health. Vitamin C: An antioxidant, supports immune health. B Vitamins like B6, B1 (thiamin), B3 (niacin), and folate in smaller amounts. Minerals: Potassium: Essential for heart function and blood pressure regulation. Manganese: Involved in metabolism and bone development. Smaller amounts of calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and iron. Antioxidants: Besides beta-carotene, carrots contain lutein, zeaxanthin, and polyacetylenes, which might have anti-cancer properties. Fiber: Both soluble and insoluble, beneficial for digestive health. Carrots are also low in calories, making them a great snack for weight management, and they have a low glycemic index, which is good for blood sugar control. The color of carrots can vary (orange, purple, red, yellow, white), with each color providing different levels of antioxidants. Remember, cooking carrots can increase the bioavailability of beta-carotene, while eating them raw preserves more of the vitamin C content.
