The CLP meeting was held, and the meeting unanimously authorized the Congress High Command to nominate a leader for the Karnataka Congress Legislative Party. The tragic Bengaluru Stampede which took away 11 innocent lives and injured 75 people is a direct fallout of the cold war and oneupmanship between CM Siddaramaiah and DCM DK Shivakumar. Whenever BJP Karnataka talks about the brewing internal rift in Karnataka Congress, Congress leaders snub it as an internal party issue. Our concern was exactly this. This never-ending power tussle between CM Siddaramaiah and DCM DK Shivakumar which has already paralysed governance and brought development to a grinding halt is now killing citizens. Who is responsible for this mess? AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and Mr Rahul Gandhi must come out and tell the truth about the supposed power sharing agreement that is the root cause of all the mess in Karnataka. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi owe an answer to Kannadigas. Karnataka cannot continue to suffer like this due of the ego and greed of two individuals.
