God bless America.

Morning Tim. Never forget 🫡🇺🇸

I wish we had 220 Tim Burchett’s in the House. Thank you sir. 🇺🇸🙏🏻💪

The Greatest Generation. One of our 6th grade teachers, Mrs McDougall was a nurse at Pearl Harbor. She shared with students her first-hand account of the unbelievable Japanese attack. Thereafter, all the men went off to war. Family members fought in the Pacific. My future father in law was captured by the Nazis in Holland and became a POW. He only survived because the Allies won and the war ended. 🫡🇺🇸

This is my MIL. She was a frontline surgical nurse in Europe. 3 of my great uncle’s fought in WWll. It’s sad that what WWII did to so many families has been forgotten.

🇺🇸🙏🏼

My Dad was 19 years old, on a movie date with my Mom. They got in the car and heard it on the radio. My Dad enlisted in the Navy the next day. He proposed to my Mom in a letter from boot camp. He was in two plane crashes and survived.

My Daddy was part of the clean up crew for the Navy that went in just hours after the attack. He would barely speak of it and would never go back to Hawaii, saying souls cried in silence. May God keep them and hold them for time and all eternity. Thanks Tim for remembering. ❤️🩹

That was really powerful Tim. Lest we forget.

RIP

84 years ago today on December 7 1941 at approximately 7:48 am Hawaiian time, 6:18 pm. GMT, that’s 1:18 in the afternoon here in upper East Tennessee just about an hour after lunch the Japanese started their attack on Pearl Harbor Hawaii.

It's a great day for you to introduce a discharge petition to repeal the income tax. Just like every other day.

May god bless the United States.

I fly the 48 star flag, I’ll never forget the price paid for our freedom, thank all you veterans.

@billysandytodd My daddy said he went to enlist the next day. The recruiter was overwhelmed with applicants and told him to go home and wait for his draft notice - which came shortly after.

Now we are being invaded, and overtaken, from the inside, by foreign enemies, paid for by the American taxpayer I really miss the days when we actually fought back

“A Day that will live in infamy”. I went to the Arizona Memorial with by grandfather who was a fighter pilot in WWII with the USAAF. I will never forget the experience of the AZ memorial with my grandfather telling me about the war. Those guys didn’t talk about it much.

Tim, we are the same age. My great grandfather was in WWII in Europe, your dad was in at the same time. I’m proud of both. But, it seems, my family has been um… a little more prolific. 🙂

The best way to honor the GREAT generation who served sacrificially is to speak truth about who REALLY starts wars and who benefits financially when our best Americans are sent to bleed and die. My father, like yours, fought in WWII. They all deserve for TRUTH to be spoken.

A Pearl Harbor Day Fragment from Robert Higgs: "As [Sec.War] Stimson confided to his diary after a meeting of the war cabinet on November 25, 'The question was how we should maneuver them [the Japanese] into firing the first shot without allowing too much danger to ourselves.' "After the attack, Stimson confessed that 'my first feeling was of relief … that a crisis had come in a way which would unite all our people.'" My new book EMPIRE OF LIES: FRAGMENTS FROM THE MEMORY HOLE will be released later this month!

Thanks for your story, @timburchett. My dad answered the call, as well, ending up a B-17 tail gunner. He was shot down over Eastern Europe and turned 21 in Stalag 17. He wrote his mother a letter that day, said that with this birthday, “I guess now I am a man” and commented that he could vote when he got home. Some folks really have no idea.

Amen Sir! My daddy joined the Army. Freedom is not FREE! Godspeed AMERICA 🇺🇸

Not to infringe on Pearl Harbor, but i noticed you looking up into the chemical sky. Any plans on addressing this? I know you never saw skies like this as a kid. Never.

Amen

Your messaging is always spot on. This one is so poignant. My dad fought in WWII - 1st Infantry - Army. Thank you for ALL you do. We need more @timburchett wisdom in our world.

We used to teach our kids history—real history. The kind that shows the cost of freedom and the blood spilled so we could stand here today. Now? Too many schools push pronouns, gender politics, and men invading women's sports. That’s not education. That’s distraction. A nation that forgets its heroes dies from the inside out. If we don’t return to the basics—truth, grit, and the lessons paid for with American lives—we won’t just fall behind. We will fail.

Please keep up the fight, to many have sold out

🙏 For all who made the sacrifice for humanity.

Amen, and you’re damned right!

I remember this book on my dads bookshelf.

You’re so right Tim. I’m so thankful for the American soldier! Thanks for remembering and reminding us! 🇺🇸🙏

🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸
