@0liviajulianna Libraries (and books) are one of the best things we having going. Every school should have one and a librarian, too. The takeover of HISD is a huge failure to our children.

Today's librarians teach information literacy and how to research issues so that students can grow up to be active, informed participants in a democracy. Of COURSE Abbott and his GOP don't want kids to have the tools to fight propaganda!

Isaiah, my Mom died in 2006; in hospice she was asked what was the greatest gift she ever received. Her children, including me, expected to hear something we or our Dad gave her. Her answer: “My sister Eleanor walked me to the library & got me a library card on my 13th birthday!”

So Harvey Willgoose was aware someone at school was after him & that they were taking knives into school, thats why he refused to go. So the school must have known because they locked the school down the week before. The day he returned was the day he was stabbed 😯🙏

This Mom has a son going into his junior year in high school. He and his friend were removed from the high school season roster because they both had SUMNER JOBS… Mom can’t get any answers from the school for the athletic department so she’s escalated it to the school board. The school by the way is mariner high school in Cape Coral, Florida. Has anyone else experienced this insanity with their children?

This week as our kids take a deeply flawed STAAR test graded by AI and manipulated by Greg Abbott’s Texas Education Agency Commissioner, let’s remember that upon Greg Abbott’s direction, my amendment to the voucher scam bill to require the same test be given to private school kids who receive vouchers as our kids in public schools take was rejected. As he forces a supersized STAAR test on our kids in public school, Greg Abbott knows that private school parents won’t tolerate the STAAR test. We should not tolerate a governor who wrecks our public schools. It’s time to fire Greg Abbott and end the STAAR test.
