I don't agree with this take. Some ladies don't know how to cook because they grew up with maids who cook for them. As long as such ladies are willing to go to a culinary school to learn how to cook, there shouldn't be any problem.

The importance of food can't be overestimated in a man's life. If I can cook very well as a man, I see no reason why you my wife shouldn't know how to do same

Me, I’d rather be with someone like that than someone who can’t cook at all. Because what happens when her cooking becomes the only option at that moment? His rationale was hospitality btw, if you get you get, at the end of the day if a man that says his wife must cook is a deal breaker for you simply leave there's many more men in the world, no need to start crying about it.

I sincerely think these pastors should just focus on preaching the word of God and refrain from all these unnecessary commentaries! Does the bible say a man MUST marry a woman that can cook? Being hospitable does not necessarily mean she MUST know how to cook! There are a lot of good wives who csnt cook, say way there are lots of terrible wives who are good cooks! This is no different from when Paul told women to not teach in church. No, it's actually different. Cooking as a major criteria for a successful marriage, when the scripture says "hospitable" is unbiblical. "hospitable" is not the same as "can cook" A chef can poîson you.

Some ladies are on this table. I did the same, dated a very intelligent and independent lady who i was serious about and she managed to convince me that buying outside was okay.
