Heading into clinic and just wanted to share a few things that have been sitting with me lately. Work hard. Work harder. Nothing works unless I do. If I’m asking someone to show up for me, I have to meet that with real effort—and I promise you, that’s exactly what I’m doing. I’m also reminded constantly: I don’t know everything. Just because I’m a doctor doesn’t mean I’ve stopped learning. I learn from my patients, my team, my mentors—every single day. When things get hard (and they do), I come back to this: have integrity. Do the right thing, even when no one’s watching. When I’m unsure, I think—what would my parents say? Can I go to sleep knowing I stood by my values? That usually points me in the right direction. If you feel the wind shifting, I feel it too. This entire situation has been a shock to navigate, but I’m solid—because I know who I am. No amount of noise or pressure changes the fact that I am a woman who works hard, tells the truth, and takes care of people. That rain is falling exactly where we need it. The support has been overwhelming. Another day, another mass shooting with an AR-15. This is becoming too commonplace in America. This time at a Dollar General in Jacksonville, Florida. No, we don't need to "take your guns" in order to help stop this problem. As a nation we need to come to the table and agree to some common sense reforms. Yesterday, Tennessee Rep Justin Jones said: "We’ve spent the whole week here in special session and I’ve heard my Republican colleagues tell us that there is no issue of gun violence, and just making excuses. To be honest Jim, I’m frustrated, I’m emotional right now because America should be tired of this. "This is madness and we don’t have to live this way. And to see three precious black lives taken in a state where we have an asinine governor attacking black people — attacking black history — and then you have people making excuses, saying its not a gun issue when he had an AR-15. "I mean other nations have hate, but we’re the only that keeps having mass shootings because because of policy decisions. And we don’t have to live this way. We don’t have to live this way anymore. "Whether it’s a school in Nashville or whether it’s a Dollar General in Jacksonville, FL, this terrorism that we’re living under is a policy choice being made to appease extremists and the gun lobby. To be honest Jim, I’m frustrated, I’m emotional right now because America should be tired of this. "This is madness and we don’t have to live this way. And to see three precious black lives taken in a state where we have an asinine governor attacking black people — attacking black history — and then you have people making excuses, saying its not a gun issue when he had an AR-15. "I mean other nations have hate, but we’re the only that keeps having mass shootings because because of policy decisions. And we don’t have to live this way. We don’t have to live this way anymore. "Whether it’s a school in Nashville or whether it’s a Dollar General in Jacksonville, FL, this terrorism that we’re living under is a policy choice being made to appease extremists and the gun lobby. We need to call it out for what it is and we need to change this nation so that we can live free of this anxiety and terror and trauma." What do you think are some commonsense measures to help prevent this stuff from happening? Why can't we classify guns like the AR-15 in the same restricted categories as short-barreled rifles or automatic weapons? Even if it saves 1 life, wouldn't it be worth it?

One reason I stay a bit quite about AI these few months. I can’t find my voice to say this right. I’ll try. — What has my AI found just in the millions of never saved TV from the 1980s-1990s? The simple commercial, I have the largest collection known in the world is a reflection of hyper nuanced humanity. Frail and over optimistic as it is, it shows the sprit of humanity in ways that self-hating 2010 Internet sewage training AI can not. It is interesting to have dark humor, when you know the soul of the person with the humor. It is not interesting to have dark humor from an AI that was not trained on the human spirit. The human sprit is not math, coding and science. This is the OUTCOME of a human sprit. We are training AI backwards and we just can’t see it yet, but we will. I am doing may best as “some posted on X” who has no currency in the “big boy” AI world to save the human sprit. We will need it one day and most of this training material is being erased, trillions of bytes daily. This is the secret to truthful AI. This is the secret to AI that LOVES humanity. We don’t get this right soon, there will be little chance. The data is… Almost gone.
