Uttar Pradesh has historically faced a shortage of medical colleges relative to its population, leading many students to seek opportunities outside the state. Yogi govt has significantly expanded medical education infrastructure with a goal of establishing at least one medical college in every district. The number of medical colleges has increased substantially in recent years, with plans to reach 70–80+ institutions.

Picture this, Prior to 2014, Assam had only 6 Medical Colleges. Today, we have 17 Medical Colleges including AIIMS & ESIC and one each in all remaining districts are coming up. That's the power of a Double Engine Govt.

Stir in UP Medical Colleges as National Medical Commission Inspection Dates Allegedly Leak in Advance Reports of upcoming NMC inspections have created significant unrest across medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. According to sources, the moment an inspection date is leaked, colleges immediately begin arranging artificial OPD crowds, bringing in outsiders or making their own staff pose as patients. Several colleges have reportedly been seating nursing and paramedical staff in OPDs and wards as “patients” to inflate footfall and show a higher patient load during the inspection. But the bigger question remains: Who is leaking the inspection schedule? And more importantly Does this not pose a serious threat to the future of medical education in the country? #medtwitter PMO India Narendra Modi Jagat Prakash Nadda
