The ONLY “right way” to handle this was the way she did. She was a PAYING customer for what the store was SELLING. Why would she HAVE to explain herself to anyone?

I think she did a good thing but what she did would have been better if she had called and arranged a large purchase instead of just grabbing them all. It was inconsiderate and the kickback ruined the good story she was trying to create.

She should have contacted Costco and requested an order for the chickens. Costco may have paid for those chickens for charity. Going in to a store and wiping out the stock even well intended is not considerate and could have been avoided.

We don’t care about your intentions…it’s right and wrong way to do things. You don’t go into Sam’s Club, barricade yourself in front of the heat stand and take every chicken coming out. Call ahead or speak with customer service.

Unpopular Opinion: We didn’t need to hear what she did with the chicken. Unless there is some some of national crisis on rotisserie chicken or posted purchasing requirement by the store, if she wanted to buy it all, it’s her right and doesn’t owe anyone any explanation.

The right way to handle that is to call ahead, several days. Nice thing she did for sure 👍 but just the execution was a bit off.

I still call BS on this story. I see too many women like her at Costco that buy the rotisserie chickens in bulk to use the meat for their chicken tamales. They sell them out of coolers in parking lots.
