The HOF had Brett call Gossage to tell him he had made the HOF..when George identified himself, Gossage responded F you

How funny is it that goose was so feared yet both Brett and Gibson hit iconic home runs off of him in super clutch spots in the playoffs/WS

UL Washington doesn’t get enough credit for getting on a chopper to keep inning going to set up Brett.

Brett might have hit 500 HRs if he would have played his home games in Yankee Stadium with that short porch in right field. As it was, he hit 5 of his 10 career post-season HRs in the 8 games he played there.

@JakeGuti May be the best uniforms ever. I love me the solid powder blues

I remembering watching this with some college friends after the disappointments of 76, 77 and 78. One of the greatest nights of my life!

The batter before was the key. UL Washington hit a 3-2 chopper over the mound & just beat the throw to 1st. I remember that as much as Brett's homer.

How is Al Michaels calling that game, and still calling Monday Night Football? Wow.

Those were fun years in baseball. Sad that the Royals lost to the Phils that year. Those late 70s KC teams were fantastic. They should have won in 1985 (I still refuse to accept game six) but those teams in late 70s were terrific.

Doesn't get any better for a visiting player. Upper deck off 'The Goose.' No batting gloves. No fear. No problem. Georgie Ballgame was CLUTCH.
