I used to know a guy who was a powerlifter/bodybuilder. When I used the old adage "no pain, no gain" he turned to me and said "no brain, no gain." It's been almost 20 years, but I don't think I'll ever forget that advice.

100% this! A few years ago I hurt my back working out, didn't let it heal properly and kept working out. Ended up herniating a disc which caused sciatic pain. Worst pain I've ever experienced. Couldn't workout normally for almost a year.

I will keep this in mind but if I know I can go another gear I won't hesitate to try. I will always work out safely

It’s good advice! I pushed hard for too long without paying attention to problems in my body and injured myself. Instantly made myself the weakest member of my family. I’m still recovering 3 years later! Just adding more doesn’t make you stronger. Recovery does! Take care! ♥️
