They didn’t want me to lose the love of it. You don’t want to get burned out. French President Macron on video games: It is bad for your children to let them spend hours and hours in front of violent video games that condition them to violence. There are video games that sometimes even have an educational aspect and that are good. But it is clear that there are violent video games that create excitement and dependency, where young people and adolescents spend hours and hours and sometimes do not sleep. So we see sleep disorders and other problems. That is what I say to families first: your role is to pay attention to your children and your adolescents. Do not let them spend that much time.

YOU HAD A BAD GAME … GOOD As parents, we want the best for our kids. We want them to crush it on the court. When they don’t, it’s easy to get mad, make excuses, blame other people. Bad games are a blessing, bc of what we can learn from them. Players should be pissed at bad games… the more we embrace it and support them, the more they’ll use the adversity to grow and become stronger

🐧 every day was thrilling (as a child)…my parents would be back from work at around 6pm, right? 🐿️ (it was thrilling) because they came home late? 🐧 i’d be back from school at 3pm and back then i used to play games on my i…pad and it was quite big, yeah? but we had a rule to only play games on the weekend 🧸 we did too! we had that as well! 🐧 so my mother hid the pad but i looked for it for 5 days straight…every time i got back from school, i’d look in different places and be like “it’s not here” “it’s not here” 🧸 i did that too!! 🐧 and then i found it! and the only place that had wifi in my house was the kitchen so i’d secretly go to the kitchen and play games then when my parents would come, i’d hide and casually come out pretending to drink water then take it out and play games again when they’d leave 🐧 so i remember playing games in a very thrilling way 🐿️ you were playing horror games by yourself 🐧 yeah, i was simultaneously playing a horror game too

For the past few weeks I’ve been teaching 50+ kids how to create their own games with AI. The results have been incredible 🤯 I started with my 5 y/o nephew because I was worried about him spending hours doomscrolling and consuming brainrot content. He built his first game using v0, though I had to walk him through each step. Watching kids interact with these tools taught me so much about how they think, where they get stuck, and what keeps them motivated. The moment that really struck me came right after he finished that first game. Every time I saw him afterward, he’d run up and ask, “Did you bring your laptop so I can keep playing?”. For him, “playing” meant creating. That kind of excitement is organic pull. Don’t get me wrong, I love v0 and Lovable. They’re insanely powerful. Their UIs just aren’t designed for kids, and that’s totally fine. Kids still need guidance, structure, and a bit of tutoring to turn ideas into something playable. I’m seeing tech leaders push in this direction too, and I think there’s a real opportunity here (Matias Woloski Thomas Wolf). Kids are the future, and I don’t want to live in a world where they spend precious time consuming instead of creating. That’s why I love tools like v0, Lovable, wabi , Cursor . They’re empowering more people to become creators. I want that same feeling for kids. What Guillermo is saying is real. Kids need to be AI-literate from the outset. It honestly makes me sad to think about my nephew growing up and falling behind on AI and everything happening around him because he’s stuck in Roblox or TikTok. That’s why I built Rabbit 🐰 for him. It started as a simple prototype, but somehow I ended up talking with 200+ parents and kids, tech leaders, investors, and people I never imagined meeting around the world. Rabbit now has 100+ people on the waitlist, and 10 kids are using it two to three times per week on average to create their own games 🫡 I’m not sure yet if this will become my full-time project, but I deeply care about it. 1500 kids. 80 countries. All building with Lovable. We helped make the world’s largest AI Kids Hackathon happen this month, together with Thomas Wolf from Hugging Face and Kids AI Coding. The kids were using lovable to make games, e-commerce sites, Minecraft tools, and even an AI selfie booth. One kid put it perfectly: “You only need to ask, and Lovable will do it for you. I think this is very nice.”
