I agree. That’s why as a creative writer it’s important to improve on the consumption. It should be like a mental meal. Full of variety and nutrition for the mind.

Would we say the same for someone who's just starting out? Because, if you don't specialize, it's hard to pick up an identity starting up. I think specializing is a two faced type thing.

Important to niche down but your skills should allow you to add value in different industries/sectors. That way you're never at risk of becoming useless.
