🧠 Don’t teach kids what to think. Teach them how to think. Question everything. Reason it through. Find their own answers. That’s how you raise a generation that can change the world. šŸŒāœØ Watch the full episode with James Corbett on #CHDTV šŸ‘‡

What are you teaching your children? Are you teaching them to be weak, or to be independent? One of the greatest things a father can give his children is the confidence that they are not helpless. Teach your kids survival skills. Teach them because a child who knows how to solve problems becomes an adult who is much harder to break. Teach them how to build a fire without pushing a button. How to find and purify water. How to use a knife, an axe, a saw, and basic hand tools. Show them how to read a map, use a compass, identify landmarks, and find their way home when the phone has no signal. Teach them how to make a shelter, tie useful knots, cook over a fire, recognize dangerous weather, stop bleeding, clean a wound, and stay calm when something goes wrong. Let them learn where food actually comes from. Take them hunting or fishing. Let them help butcher an animal, clean a fish, plant a garden, gather eggs, mend a fence, stack firewood, and fix something instead of throwing it away. And don't just teach physical survival. Teach them to think before they panic. Teach them that discomfort is not an emergency. Teach them to keep working when they're tired, cold, frustrated, or afraid. Most importantly, teach them where their strength ultimately comes from. A father should prepare his children for hardship while teaching them not to worship preparedness itself. Supplies disappear. Plans fail. Strong men get injured. Storms come that nobody predicted. Our security is ultimately in God. So pray with your children in ordinary times, and teach them that prayer doesn't replace action, it prepares the heart for it. We trust God, and then we get to work. Make it an adventure. Camp together. Start fires in the backyard. Give them age appropriate tools. Let them make mistakes while you're close enough to guide them. The goal is that when that day comes, they remember what dad taught them, keep their head, protect the people around them, trust God, and know what to do.
