Listen I LOVED what I thought Garrett Wilson could be last year. I was super high on him. I’ve really cooled off from that — BUT I think he could be a ton better than he was last year. The film doesn’t lie. His big plays were realllly good, but there are 15 other targets like these that just make you scratch your head. I wouldn’t be shocked if he has more fun playing with Fields. He looked extremely disinterested all over the tape last year. This is why he wasn’t top 20 for me, he has top 15 talent, but there’s a gap he needs to close.

What does it feel like to realize that, in your little boy’s eyes, you are one of the most important people in the entire world? There's something special about having a young son who looks up to you as a dad. At that age, Dad can seem almost larger than life. He is the guy who can fix things, reach the high shelf, carry the heavy stuff, answer the impossible questions, and somehow make an ordinary afternoon feel like an adventure. And half the time, he probably has no idea just how closely his son is watching him. A little boy does not need his dad to be perfect. He just wants to be around him. He wants to follow him around the house, help with whatever he is doing, wear his old hat, imitate the way he talks, and eventually say, “Dad, can I come with you?” The little moments can seem insignificant when they happen, are sometimes the moments that fathers remember years later. There is also something humbling about knowing that your son is learning what it means to be a man partly by watching you. How you treat your wife, how you handle frustration, how you keep your word, how you treat strangers, how you respond when things go wrong. He may not understand all of it yet, but he is taking it in. And maybe that is one of the greatest joys of being a father. He was hating so hard to try and get in my head but I’m literally laughing right in his face. How could I take this grown man seriously? I will never be in my mid 30’s, hanging out at a 19 year olds house. He was only doing this cause he once had what I had, but fucked it up and lost it all. Now he has to find another way to cope, and that coping mechanism is putting a 19 year old down to make himself feel up. In 14 years, when I’m his age, I will NEVER be acting like this💀
