The pin appears to be following the pen because there are multiple layers of paper. The top layer of paper moves more in relation to the bottom piece of paper causing the follow effect.

try it with a smiley face and have the pin as its nose - same effect,.... your shifting the paper thus the position of the pin.

Bro I honestly don't understand how you guys are not getting this or am I dumb..... I believe he's using magnetism... There's a magnet underneath the wooden table... Which causes just enough pull to shift the needle in the direction he's writing..

To me it looks like physics. The needle being stabbed into the sheet of paper plus the pressure applied on the top layer, makes the needle move according to the pressure applied by writing. It’s likely the needle just pierced the 2nd sheet, which writing marks can still be seen.

@ 50 second you can drag the track around a bit frame by frame and see the line above the needle disappear. People fall for the dumbest crap.
