Yes, the first Officer was wrong. But the Captain was trying to engage in a meaningful conversation and the guy WAS rude! Take a beat and see what she has to say. You might be surprised how much she agrees with you. And if she doesn't agree....then you can educate her. It's old fashioned but like the saying goes you catch more flies with honey than vinegar!!
