Dontrelle Willis That guy rocked.

D-Trains leg kick was imitated by every little leaguer across the nation. All time Marlin. Bring back the old school unis!!

Grip nasty. Leg kick nasty. Jersey unbuttoned. Swagger off the charts. One of the most electric pitchers in baseball

There were a lot of hoopers on the 03 Marlins Willis, Juan Pierre, Josh Beckett, Derrell Lee, Pudge, Luis Castillo

A friend of mine coached him in high school. Said he could have been an Ohtani. As good a hitter as he was a pitcher.

The marlins need to go back to these unis immediately

@ThatGuyRocked Most iconic leg kick of any pitcher I can remember

One of the greatest people you will ever meet and the best teammate that I’ve ever seen in our program when he was young

Every kid in that era tried to emulate his windup at one point in their little league career 😂

I once saw Dontrelle absolutely level a fan on a foul ball at the Phillies game. Next pitch, he went yard. She got rocked, and he rocks.

His wind up is how pitchers in cartoons throw

Bro I was never a baseball fan as a kid but I remember this guys name lol

@ThatGuyRocked He went from being really good to out of the league pretty quickly

Two wins as a Detroit Tiger. I was at the 2nd one.

I played against him in Little League. I foul tipped him once and I am so proud of that. Of course I was 0-9 with 9 Ks vs him but that foul tip was beautiful

Can’t front as a Mets fan i used to luv me some Dontrelle Willis... was good to see a young brotha in the mix w them other aces they had in Aj Burnett & Josh Beckett 🔥🔥

Too bad Green Day doesn't. Why ruins his mastery with a shit sound track? Poser Punks

D-Train ruled

D-Train

He was a bad man back in the day! Other than Otani he’s the best hitting pitcher I have ever seen play. A lot of people don’t realize he used to hit lead off when he started on the mound. Man that Marlins team was electric back then. Fun times!

@ThatGuyRocked Delivery was straight “funky”. Loved watching him pitch.

😂

He should have won the 05 Cy young!

Every kid pitched like this all summer

DTrain and Juan Pierre were my 2 favorite players growing up

@DTrainMLB He still does!

And then he went to the Tigers where he absolutely collapsed

it’s crazy how much slower pitches were back then

D-Train!

A personal hero of mine (I tired to copy his windup)

Not as good IMO but basically a more crafty chris sale with those limbs flying at you from the left side, with the Luis tiant pauses. No thank you. Pinch hitter central

His wind up was so awkward to me as a kid, him and Nomo.

@ChalupaBatmaan He was a key Reason the 03 marlins were so damn fun. Great pitching staff and small Ball made that team

That leg kick!
