It depends on the hand! If it's at a different angle or the fingers are bent, I'll do the outline of the hand and fingers first, then add the beans afterwards. But since this is a generic pose, I started with the beans.

I'm glad!! A tip I always give is when doing the darker shading on the pads – only blur the tops of the shadow!! Leave the bottoms sharp and unblurred! It gives a nice effect and makes them look squishy and jelly-like :]
