I mean, the entire point is that doomguy's suit uses the souls of dead demons to heal him, so without that this matchup makes more sense.

To be fair, last death battle was pre-doom 2016 I think it made sense to have chief win But, with 2016/eternal... I think DG has it

I love doom slayer vs master chief *conceptually*

Master Chief is a great protagonist and an iconic hero who can fight against overwhelming odds. This is accurate, as much as I love him as a character. Doom Guy is just stupidly powerful.

I dunno. I think the fight will be interesting still. Chief is a brilliant tactician, which is rarely shown, and Doom Guy isn't unkillable. But, I think edge goes to Doom unless they let Chief use some insane weapons. And the Spartan Laser shouldn't be underestimated
