Here’s the bottom line 👇

Made me laugh out loud

🤣

Ain’t no way this video needed to be 9 minutes long

10k supply, half for OGs, half paid mint. $80 per mint. Comunícate better and build lore round the new drop. Shouldn’t be that hard for a multimillion dollar web3 company.

great video watched the whole thing

Thanks 🙏🏼

Should have been an opportunity to give people an equity stake in doodles. Only thing that may of had a chance. Doodle holders get a free vip type claim and outsiders had a chance to buy in. This flop is good for NFTs as teams hopefully will get the picture we need better. The kick-starter NFT era is dead.

Does anyone think, like maybe they saw how Fwogs went and thought "go go go go" lololol

Probably saw the meta. Fwog was a masterclass compared to this

@0xGrizzlyAdamz fwog was a flop with low quality art, shilled by kol's nothing compare to BT art

@Tatiana8687792 @0xGrizzlyAdamz Art isn’t low quality, just a traits issue imo. But it was a free mint

Nothing went wrong. The space recognized a cash grab and didn't mint. Which certainly isn't always the case so i'd argue, it went very well Don't support projects that do this Don't support launchpads that launch this

Changing my pfp soon. Big rip

Good pfp though. I still like doodles

Agree it could’ve been much better, on many levels but: 1. Mint price isn’t too high, Blind boxes go for around the same price 2. One look in discord and you know what to do. You had 5 days 3. No one is getting milked, the holders got it for free. New people bought in

1. Markey isn’t minting = priced too high 2. Average person doesn’t check discord 3. We’re constantly expected to fork out money for nothing. What’s the value in getting this NFT? Feels rushed out while the team makes $4m

when gorilla makes a 10min video about your mint being a flop you are beyond cooked gud video

Great analysis. But I want to add that they never announced the claim windows until <24 hours beforehand; exclusively on discord nonetheless. I bought dooplicators months ago in speculation that they would allow access to Doopies mint. But, I missed the claim window anouncment

Sorry to hear that, not fair at all

In the end, it is my fault. Still frustrating, nonetheless.

I respect that 🫡

So it should be Floopies? 😅

You won’t get milked by @BLOP_WORLD Looks like @doodles tried to ride the wave but forgot that art isn’t the only thing that matters. Watch me work.

Update from Doodles founder coming tommorow.

Thanks for the update

We need more videos like this

Not too late to make a social push with the many many people in Solana eco who are happy to support gratis

I just heard about doopies today. And still not interested. Remember that the cryptokitties team ran with millions of dollars. Doodles is doing the same. Trust the Blockchain only.

it is really exhausting, most teams are so out of touch collectors (who are still here) are downbad and if you're gonna drop something, give us a reason to want one.

I think the question now is how does the team ad value to the ones minted!?

What was the plan to add value in the first place? The whole thing feels rushed out and quite vague

@sirscreen_eth Didn't bt say that he had spent over 2 years on this? Seems contradictory to then feel it was rushed out.

@CryptoGorilla @sirscreen_eth probably the artwork. minting mechanics, comms n foundation done under a week 👍

@0xaimbot @CryptoGorilla It better be good art then!

It makes sense.. Make a small claims window on purpose. OGs miss free claim = More paid Mints. Alibi complete

great video! i actually never even knew this doodles mint took place, never popped up on my timeline i assume they didn't get much ugc

clueless ass team

He's right you know.

Looking at the count of NFTs in the collection, the "evolution" term reminds me of other projects I have seen with forges or fusing; where you burn a small number of NFTs to evolve to a rarer NFT. You need all those NFTs to help with the evolution. So, even if the mint didn't happen at the best time, it could still progress, & the evolution could burn supply, making the collection more valuable over time.

agree with you, i was tilted as hell by how badly doodles gen 2 was handled zero effort to push it, zero marketing, awful price management, no airdrop for holders but submission they lost the track

Was it a separate [free] avatar, or just cosmetics for doodles holders?

oh, when i said gen 2 i meant doopies, not doodles 2 avatars 😅 but tbf Doodles 2 on Flow already killed a ton of trust back then, holders were down ~50%, no volume, and dooplicators bled even harder

It was just another attempt at extracting money from the ecosystem.

Yeah, I agree with most of what you said. What we keep seeing in this space is a pattern, and it shows up every single cycle. The biggest projects that actually took off did so because the founders were present, involved, and willing to build real relationships with their communities. That is exactly why Pudgy Penguins blew up the first time. The founder was in the trenches, talking to people every day, making the community feel seen, heard, and valued. That energy is powerful, and it creates momentum that money alone cannot buy. What happened with Doodles is honestly disappointing. I had my SOL ready to mint these HyperCubs or whatever the new drop was supposed to be, but the community made their voice loud and clear during mint. When the people who believe in the project stop feeling connected, everything falls apart, no matter how big the brand once was. In Web3, the formula for success is not a mystery. Big brands need to show up. They need founders who actually talk to the holders, understand the sentiment, listen to what is happening on the ground, and stay in touch with the culture. Without that presence, without that real engagement, nothing meaningful is going to happen. The market does not care about hype if there is no heart behind it. New projects try to replicate that early-stage community magic, and some have the passion, but they usually do not have the funding or the team to execute on large ideas. So they burn out fast, even if the community is strong in the beginning. Meanwhile the market overall is down bad, and nothing is going to magically reverse that overnight. The only thing that can shift the momentum is leadership plus community plus consistent action. Right now the projects that will survive this market are the ones that stay close to their people, keep building, keep communicating, and never forget why Web3 exists in the first place.

I’m disappointed as an OG holder and admit this was a massive flop. This industry needs to massively change.

Ugh this sucks. 💯 agree with you and just so sad to see this happen, esp to Doodles. Still rooting for them but tough to get any momentum back.

sad but true

This is my first time hearing about Doopies so yea, I'd say a big failure in comms

Unfortunately all true

I only bought dooplicator to get a doopies because the art for real Everyone who want to make money will surely avoid this

less than 30% claimed is so bad

I’ve went thru a lot of your content and respect your solid viewpoints & breakdown. I agree with a lot of your sentiment! Would you consider giving @BLOP_WORLD a look and an in-depth review in the future?!?
