First of all, Doug Ford has been hinting at an early election since before Donald Trump won. Now he’s trying to justify spending $175 million of taxpayers’ money on an early and unnecessary election because he “needs a mandate”. So Doug Ford… where was the mandate to give $8.3 billion worth of Greenbelt lands to your friends? Where was the mandate to spend $1 billion on booze in the corner store? Where was the mandate for $2 billion on a shady deal for a spa at Ontario place? No one is buying it Doug. #onpoli

I believe he’s weaponizing the fears of Canadians, for power he doesn’t need, to do a job he told us he was the man for. Ford is helping him. By sharing his insights, and how it worked for him. The question is: what is getting in both of their ways now? Why can’t they secure a deal when they have the power to do so? Last I checked, Jamil was doing more work, than all Liberals combined, including Ford. The reality is this: Carney doesn’t need a majority mandate. He wants it. He tried through floor crossings & now, he wants to try for an “elbows up part 2”. And that should concern everyone.
