MiniMax H3 scene extension test: Young Perceval in the Waste Forest, revealing to his mother that, for the first time, he has seen warriors...and now (much to his mother's chagrin) he wants to be one! I'm a big fan of medieval Arthurian literature and one of my favorite stories is Chretien de Troyes' Perceval (le Conte du Graal). I have been working on a screenplay for years and have been waiting for AI video to get good enough to either create a series or a feature film of it. I did a trailer for it in 2024 (in the style of a 1980s Italian barbarian movie, titled Galvano: Guerriero del Graal) but this is the first time I have attempted a coherent scene with dialog. MINIMAX H3 JUST REPLACED THE ENTIRE ANIMATION PIPELINE before: a studio quotes $150,000 for a 25-second anime opening like this. a designer, an animator, an editor. 6 weeks across 4 different tools. after: i wrote the concept once and got 25 finished seconds back, the cuts and the card graphics already in the frame. I made this anime opening on MiniMax Design from one original idea. Both characters look the same in every shot, and black, white and red hold from the first frame to the last. The agent broke the concept into shots on its own and handed back the finished sequence. After the first live stream AI created by Rehan Sheikh and Alex Matthews , here the first movie of 1h30 !!! fully generated by itself with consistent style and consistent character, much more to come on fal !!! would need a lot of edit and cut, but I wanted to show the raw result. I am working much more now on consistent environment as well to make this much better. To give your more insight this is based on minimax h3 with a train lora that was only train on 15s of data ! So a single movie could allow you to generate a full movie or much more. Working on that and if I see people interested, I could make it available !

The lack of "feature design" is why so many products over time feel hollow or messy. This isn't visual design. This isn't architectural design. I thought that a short video lecture of what feature design is and a real case study of applying it in Ghostty would be helpful. Feature design is the planning step behind how you're going to solve one or more user problems with a product feature: what that feature looks like, how it feels, and not just how its going to tactically solve these specific problems, but how that solution is going to interface with the edges of other features that currently exist or are planned to exist in the future.

A very active weather pattern is setting up for next week, with multiple storm systems lined up to sweep across the US. It'll all begin with heavy rain slamming the West Coast this weekend into early next week, then the pattern shifts east as a parade of storms brings widespread rain, warm temperatures, and even the potential for severe weather. Because of the warmth, most of these will be rain makers, with only our brotheren in the western mountains being the only folks to get in on the snow. When learning a new skill, your toddler needs the same things you do: Opportunity. Practice. And an environment in which it’s safe to fail - at least initially - as you work things out. It’s why I love this video, in which mom provides all three in abundance. Would it be easier to feed the dog herself? Sure. But that’s not the path to independence. And when the going gets tough, does she step in and take over? Quite the opposite, actually. She lends a little technical assistance (two hands) and shares the most important message of all: “Don’t give up. You’ve got this.” Finally, when our hero doesn’t quite stick the landing? That’s okay too. No fuss. Just another step closer to mastery. These are the things we all need as learners. What a lucky little guy.
