Can confirm - I failed the NYS bar exam the first time in July 2023. I was crushed. Second time around, I got MBE books and Adaptibar, read the previous NYS Law exam essay answers (complete and utter bullshit answers). Passed in February 2024. Do what works for you.

Facts

1. Do multiple choice until you’re getting 140+ on MBE. 2. For essays, odds are it’ll be heavy MBE topics. Study 3-5 other most often tested subjects that aren’t on MBE. Don’t worry much about state distinction vs MBE. 3. If you’re stumped on an essay, make up a 4 factor test.

Exactly what I did. About 600 multiple choice questions and targeted essay practice. Studied for 2-3 weeks cuz I was already working. Passed MBE.
